The old vicarage, whissendine
A charming garden in the heart of rutland
When Dr. Sarah Furness and her husband Peter moved to the Old Vicarage in England’s smallest county in 1990, they had their work cut out, with the two thirds of an acre garden centrepiece being a dig for victory vegetable plot. 30 years on, and the couple have created a wonderful blend of formal and romantic, with an orangery, an orchard and a fountain courtyard.
